I realize this is a bold statement. While I may have overlooked a few, this claim is really about the emergence of a common thread between the truly, really, insanely funny. The stuff that you can watch over and over and over. The stuff that if someone else in the office has it playing, everyone crowds around no matter how many times they have seen it. The truly great all seem to have one thing in common: simplicity.

They're not rap songs about dicks. They're not home videos of kids lighting fireworks out of their butts, or barfing on each other. They're not terrible TV commercials from the '80s, or local news boners (boner!). They're not even pirated daily show clips (sorry Jon).

This post took forever to write because the five videos below distracted me upwards of 3,405 times... each. Each one is brilliant in its own way, but what makes them collectively brilliant is that in each one the creator simply took something that already existed, made a minor tweak (usually to the audio) and kawpow: new and amazing was born.
